Volcom Stone’s Bushfish Surf Series Bob Hall Pier, TX

A Cheese Burger, Slip and slides, BBQ, and Lone Stars could only mean one thing… its time for another year of the Bushfish Surf Series at Bob Hall Pier in Corpus Christi, TX. With the swell looking bleak on the forecast and zero waves the night before the event, we weren’t sure what to expect. When we pulled up to the beach in the morning we were greeted with fun little Gulf Coast waves and already close to 100 people on the beach. We signed up the competitors and sent the Pro-Am in the water first and we got this party started. The day moved along without a hitch, the beach was loaded with spectators, competitors were pumped to be in the water and all the kids were covered in grossness from start to finish. The end of the day came quick and before we knew it we were showering the winners in flour and heaving promo into the crowd. “DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS!”

The clean early morning conditions made it ideal for some Bob Hall Pier shredding!

Shane Wiggins stuck a solid backside air reverse to claim Electric Volt Thrower move of the event and $100 cash.
