Volcom Pipe Pro Wildcard Video Challenge – Swell on the Way!

With about two weeks left and a couple of great looking back-to-back west swells heading for Hawaii for early next week, here’s your chance to get your clips together to win the highest seeded wildcard spot in the 2011 Volcom Pipe Pro! The surfer that puts together a video riding their 5 best waves at Pipeline will receive a wildcard into the 2011 Volcom Pipe Pro! All entries must be in by January 18th, 2011. The waiting period for the event starts January 24th, may the best barrels win!

How it works:
The wildcard challenge is open to anyone. Surfers are responsible for collecting, editing and submitting their footage to www.Volcom.com
You are not required to use music in your edit. All 5 waves will solely be judged on how critical the ride is. In other words, the goal is to get as barreled as possible. The contest is open to Backdoor and Pipeline freesurfing waves only. Sorry no Off The Wall waves. No contest clips. We will only accept entries from the current 2010-2011 season (approximately 09/01/10 – 01/18/11). No older clips will be allowed. If a contestant with a 64 seed wins the Volcom Pipe Pro Wildcard Challenge, the wildcard will go to the next in line.

Judging:
The contest will be judged by a panel of Pipeline specialists to determine the winner. The video will solely be judged on the waves ridden and not the editing.
