Vans partners with The North Face to launch innovative, Limited Edition Collection

Vans and The North Face come together to create the most technical Vans product to date in the Vault by Vans x The North Face collection.

This partnership pushes the design boundaries of heritage Vans silhouettes with progressive weatherized features and proprietary The North Face technologies. The seven-piece offering includes three installments of the Vans Sk8-Hi MTE LX and Desert Chukka MTE LX as well as a collaborative execution of The North Face Nuptse jacket.

The Vault by Vans x The North Face partnership brings forth the Desert Chukka MTE LX in Black, Hale Navy and Toast colorways alongside the Sk8-Hi MTE LX in Black, Blue Graphite/Surf the Web and Deep Teal/Toast executions. Both silhouettes are reconstructed utilizing gusseted tongues, reversed waffle lug outsoles, Cosmo™Comfort heat retention, The North Face winterGRIP® and water-repellant leather and suede uppers. Cosmo™Comfort coating can be found between the insole and outsole where it keeps heat from escaping feet in cold environments, retaining up to 9 degrees Fahrenheit within the shoe. The North Face propriety innovation, winterGRIP® is a tacky rubber compound designed to remain soft when the temperature falls below freezing and excels on icy surfaces – 20 percent better in slip resistance than traditional rubbers in approximation. The Desert Chukka MTE LX is lined with fleece for added warmth while DRI-LEX® materials and a HydroSeal® membrane are integrated into the build of the Sk8-Hi MTE LX. DRI-LEX® fabrics can be found in liners where their complex textiles structures and high-performance fibers yield excellent moisture redistribution and superior abrasion resistance. Also sourced from The North Face, the HydroSeal® Waterproof membrane creates a waterproof base that allows moisture transition from the inside while it protects feet from water on the outside. Trim package details include The North Face-embossed heel strikes, Vans Off The Wall heel scab markers and co-branded footbed logos on each pair. In addition to the Desert Chukka MTE LX and Sk8-Hi MTE LX, Vans and The North Face introduce a new take on the Nuptse Jacket, bringing the coveted checkerboard pattern to a signature outwear staple. Outfitted in a tonal black-on-black print, the Nuptse Jacket is treated with a durable water-repellant coating, lined with down insulation and double-layered in taffeta padding.
