Vans Europe: Rob Maatman’s lockdown edit
Vans Europe are excited to welcome Rob Maatman to the European skate team.
Alongside the announcement of the Dutch native joining the Vans team, Rob has released a new part filmed entirely during lockdown in Holland. His solo mission was documented by Jan Maarten Sneep from Bombaklats and Memory Screen and is in collaboration with Pop Trading Company. Skating since he was 12 years old, Rob, originally from Deventer is now currently based in Den Haag. Chatting about his decision to join the team, he said; “Well there are multiple reasons why I made the decision but I guess the main reason is that Vans Europe has one of the best teams right now (in my eyes) and doing a lot of trips being super productive and having a lot of fun while doing it.” We did not force him to say that. Promise. It’s not the first time Vans and Pop Trading Company have worked together – in 2018, a collaboration was released featuring three footwear styles, inspired by the early and mid-90’s era. Rob’s edit is available to watch now. Follow @vansskate and @vanseurope on Instagram to learn more about the Vans skate team.
