Melodic Death Metal band Upon Stone have shared ‘Paradise Failed’ the latest single from the upcoming album ‘Dead Mother Moon’, out January 19th on Century Media Records. On the track, the band team up with Shadows Fall vocalist Brian Fair to create a feverish anthem. Intense riffs lead into bright guitar solos, providing a pillar for the deep and chaotic dual vocal delivery. Speaking on the messaging for ‘Paradise Failed’, vocalist/bassist Xavier Wahlberg states:

“Humanities short comings as a species. Destroying the beauty and balance of the natural world through greed, religion, corruption and hatred for one another.”

On working with Upon Stone, Brian Fair commented:

“I was very stoked when the guys in Upon Stone asked me to hop on a track with them! They have a sound that is near and dear to my heart, aggressive and thrashy metal with just the perfect mix of melody. ‘Paradise Failed’ is a rager of a song that has a rawness and darkness that I love. The production and guitar tone giver it an edge that rips right into you like a shark bite. Grab a copy of ‘Dead Mother Moon’ and bang your fucking head!”

‘Dead Mother Moon’ Tracklist:

1. Dead Mother Moon

2. Onyx Through The Heart

3. My Destiny; A Weapon

4. Dusk Sang Fairest

5. Paradise Failed ft Brain Fair of Shadows Fall

6. Nocturnalism

7. To Seek And Follow The Call Of Lions

8. The Lantern

9. Dig Up Her Bones (Misfits cover)

The roots of Upon Stone twist back to its members’ teenage years when vocalist and bassist Xavier Wahlberg, drummer Wyatt Bentley and guitarist Ronny Marks began playing together in various Valley bedroom-bred outfits. Joined by guitarist Gage Goss, the band came tor full fruition in 2021 with the EP, ‘Where Wild Sorrows Grow’, released on Creator Destructor. From there, Upon Stone began gigging relentlessly, finding their audience between Los Angeles’ hardcore and metal sects, sharing the stage with acts such as Bewitcher, Creeping Death, Vomit Forth. During this time the band began writing what would become ‘Dead Mother Moon’.
