Town & Country Surf Designs is back in Europe!
It feels good to be back! Town & Country Surf Designs has made its way back to the beaches of Hossegor, France.
Since its inception in 1971, T&C has played an important role in the innovation and progression of surfing. Town & Country will focus on Glenn Pang and Tommy Tanaka surfboards, technical boardshorts, accessories and recycled organic traceable cotton tees and fleece. The goal is to propose a range of surfboards that create a smile in the water, from high performance shortboards to fun twins for summer conditions. Furthermore, T&C want to focus on proposing the best solution in terms of sustainability vs performance and comfort. That is the reason why all their fleece and tees are made out of recycled organic African cotton. Furthermore, T&C board shorts are made out of recycled polyester. On top of that, T&C are using the fabric left behind by other brands due to the COVID virus. Town & Country is proudly re-entering the European market this summer with a soft launch in the freshly opened surf shop, The Salts Only, 60, Avenue des Rémouleurs in Hossegor, France. You will also be able to find the brand on www.thesaltsonly.com from the end of July onwards.
Next year, Town & Country will celebrate its 50th anniversary and to celebrate, the brand will be available in a limited number of stores throughout Europe. Larry Bertlemann, an early pioneer, pushed the limits of board design with creative and futuristic endeavours. This style of surfing was embraced by surfers around the world and paved the way for surfboard design advancements crucial to today’s level of surfing.
The current Town & Country team are influenced by all those that went before. Past WCT standout and 2009 Rookie of The Year Kekoa Bacalso perpetuates Hawaiian power surfing. WCT surfer Brisa Henessey brightens up any line-up with her positive energy and brings a well-rounded and refined surfing game to the competitors on tour. Billy Kemper has helped to define what is possible in big waves. He is the 2018 Big Wave World Tour Champion and 3X Peahi Challenge Champion. Town & Country’s goal is to build a team that represents the essence of Hawaiian surfing – commitment, power, style and respect. Talking about commitment and power, it was a no-brainer to open the European Headquarters close to one of the world’s heaviest beach breaks La Gravière in Hossegor, France.
