Colorado Springs punk band, The Sleights, release their new EP ‘It’s Not That Easy’ off their upcoming self-titled EP, via Encapsulated Records.

‘It’s Not That Easy’ is a slightly darker step away from our last record. We had new material we felt could stand alone as an EP and the songs run a little longer than our previous material because we spent much more time crafting lyrics and leads. It touches on themes of social alienation, near death experiences, and problems trusting those around you. The title track discusses the frustration of working in a band, or any group for that matter, and trying to keep the whole thing afloat. Something that is often more easily said than done.” – The Sleights

Formed in early 2014, the four-piece have self-released five EPs, one LP, and played shows throughout their home state of Colorado, as well as multiple tours throughout the Midwest and West Coast. Pulling from its strong punk rock and rock & roll roots, the band keeps the music short and simple, and the live shows fast and fun. The Sleights released their first LP in February of 2019 and it was a split release between Rad Girlfriend Records and Swap Cabbage Records.

The Sleights are Luke Blanton: Vocals, Guitar (The Lillingtons, Nobodys), Adam Huscher: Guitar, (Nobodys), Victor Carbonell: Bass, and Michael Hand: Drums
