If you compare a Londoner’s push to, say, a skater from Bordeaux, the difference is undeniable – there’s no time to relax and indulge the slow arc of your leg when pushing down a London street unless your keen to end up on your forehead. Far from being an apologist for what might seem to be a fairly incomprehensive edit of the ‘scene’, I embrace this as a demonstration of what I’ve been saying – that the scene is too large to represent.
