The Draft (3/4 of Hot Water Music) announce summer US tour
The Draft, three-fourths of legendary post-punk outfit Hot Water Music, have announced that they will embark on a two-week US tour this summer to play their first live shows in almost 5 years.
Frontman/guitarist Chris Wollard, bassist Jason Black and drummer George Rebelo formed The Draft in 2006 and released their debut album, ‘In a Million Pieces’, that year on Epitaph Records. Following the release of ‘In a Million Pieces’, the band toured heavily and subsequently self-released an EP, 2007′s The Draft, and the ‘We’ll Never Know/Hard to Be Around’ 7″ on No Idea, also in 2007. Fresh off a year spent hard at work on the road in support of the new Hot Water Music record, ‘Exister’, the members of The Draft are eager for the chance to continue to share the stage. Said Black of their decision to tour again this summer, “We just decided, ‘why not?’ It’s a short, fun run and we like playing music together.” It’s clear that the members of The Draft not only enjoy creating music together but that they’re back in a big way and ready to take the US by storm with the announcement of these new dates.
