Stefan Frommann was born in Berlin in 1965. After a longer stay in Canada (Toronto), he returned to Germany in 1988 and became a journalist. Since 2002, he has worked for “Welt” and “Welt Am Sonntag”, where he is currently chief reporter. He loves narrative writing and meeting interesting people. In recent years, he has conducted interviews with music greats such as Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Klaus Meine (Scorpions), Jonathan Davis (Korn), Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Billy Idol, Sting, Bob Geldof and Huey Lewis. In 2006 and 2011 he was honored with the “Laureus Media Award”.
