Los Angeles, CA—SUPRA is pleased to announce the release of the Maurizio Molin Women’s Footwear Collection.

The collection consists of three classic SUPRA silhouettes—a Vaider, a Skytop, and a Wrap—all emblazoned with the art of Maurizio Molin. Maurizio Molin is a Venetian based artist, designer, and painter who began his career at a very young age with a well-known Italian artisan who, coincidentally, created fine shoes. He has since gone on to work for a number of notable names in the fashion and action sports industries. Maurizio‘s work has been recognized throughout the world, and he is perhaps best known for his dot and geometric pattern paintings, which live, as he says, “in the middle-ground between art and design.” “I design and I paint,” Maurizio said, “and for me both are a creative expression. The best is when I have the opportunity to use my art on some great design or fashion products, like this project for SUPRA. The specific piece of art that I’ve made for this SUPRA collaboration is a blending of my pop colors with some fashion influences. We wanted to do something a little different than my usual geometric patterns and so, for the first time, I’ve used a snakeskin pattern.” Maurizio‘s beautiful, rainbow snakeskin pattern is printed on nylon and employed on the interiors and exteriors of the three styles in the collection. It’s complemented by pink accents, smooth grey nubuck, deep black suede, and, in the case of the Vaider, a snake scale embossed iridescent suede. It makes for a strikingly bold, colorful, and fun collection of sneakers befitting the spirit of the SUPRA female consumer.
