MULTIAXIAL PROJECT, A LIMITED EDITION OF 100 PIECES.

The Stone Island Prototype Research_Series are limited editions, by nature. They feature garments in fabrics and/or treatments born from research and experimentation processes that have not yet been industrialized. The Series_08 fabric is borrowed from the advanced industrial techniques that aim to create rigid shells for the automotive, boating and sports sectors, starting from flexible and multiaxial components. The process involves the creation of a multiaxial linen textile base as a natural reinforcement material, subsequent needle-cohesion to a non-woven fabric veil, state-of-the-art inkjet printing with pigments and double lamination of aliphatic polyurethane film. The 100 print artworks – one created per garment – recompose into a large fresco, a dreamlike organic landscape reminiscent of a primordial world.

Stone Island Prototype Research_Series sono edizioni limitate native: prodotti frutto della ricerca Stone Island che per la complessità tecnologica e/o artigianale, non possono ancora essere industrializzati. Multiaxial Project ha una base di fibra di vetro che viene accoppiata ad una struttura in lino, stampata come una tela unica, e poi laminata. Da questo grande “tessuto-non-tessuto” provengono le 100 cappe. Ogni cappa è interconnessa alle altre. L’installazione – in occasione della Milano Design Week – è aperta al pubblico:
