Stone Island Prototype Research Series 07 Liquid Crystal Heat Reactive
LIMITED EDITION OF 100 PIECES. AVAILABLE ONLINE ON STONEISLAND.COM STARTING FROM 23RD MAY.
They feature garments in fabrics and/or treatments born from research and experimentation processes that have not yet been industrialised.
Anorak made of a nylon canvas treated with a special liquid crystal-based resin coating. Exceptionally changeable, Liquid Crystal Heat Reactive takes distance from the thermo-chromatic solutions previously investigated by Stone Island since 1989: in the range between 15 and 31 degrees Celsius, the liquid crystals distributed on the fabric trigger a gradual molecular reactive colour change for a constant chromatic variability.
White badge for Stone Island Textile Research garments on the left sleeve. The liquid crystal resin coating comes with small white signs especially visible when the jacket is black, at colder temperatures, that will increase when worn. Hood with protective zip-fastened front, with inner reverse pleat. Horizontal elasticated drawstring tightening the hood and collar. All seams are covered by nylon tape. Kimono shoulders and sleeve construction.
Yoke on front and back. Pouch pocket with slanting zip fastening entrances, hidden under windproof fixed flap.
