DC is proud to partner with iconic London-based skate shop Slam City Skates on a collaborative capsule collection.

The collection features pieces representative of both brands history and heritage with the highlight being a slimmed down Kalis Lite shoe. Slam City chose a Josh Kalis‘ silhouette as the legendary skater is a firm favourite of the shop and embodies a special time in skateboarding – the redesign of this iconic silhouette is a limited edition design for the collaboration.

To mark the launch of the capsule collection, London will play host to both Mike Blabac and Kalis for a weekend of activities celebrating history old and new. On Friday 3rd March Slam City’s Covent Garden store will showcase a photo exhibition shot and curated by legendary photographer Blabac. The exhibition will honour some of Love Park’s most iconic moments from the past, including when Kalis tre flipped the can. A moment caught by Blabac and forever imprinted in the skate history books. On Saturday 4th March, Kalis and Blabac will do a special signing at Slam’s Covent Garden store before they head to Southbank to recreate the iconic moment. An exact replica set-up of the Love Park bump to bin will be ready for all to skate and with jam hosted by Kalis himself. This is another moment not to be missed.
