After a two-year hiatus the legendary Sessions brand announced today a relaunch for the upcoming season.

Portland-based Pretty Great LLC recently acquired Sessions. Led by founder Joel Gomez and Pretty Great President Rob Myers, Sessions will premiere its new line to the North American market with an inaugural line at SIA’s Snow Show this upcoming January.

Sessions began in 1983 as the first shop in North America dedicated to snowboarding. With its rich history in the industry, Sessions is one of the few companies still dedicated to those that live and die to stand sideways. “Skateboarding and rock & roll are built into the fabric of the brand. Sessions outerwear will always be inspired by the attitude and the lifestyle that makes us who we are,” says Joel Gomez. “Restoration projects like this ensure that classic snowboarding culture will be sustained into the future.” In Sessions’ trophy cabinet are many momentous industry benchmarks: Sessions was the first outerwear company to integrate Recco and Gore-Tex into its designs. Sessions also collaborated with bands like Pearl Jam and Metallica to incorporate wearable audio technology into its outerwear. Fashioned by 26 years of experience and award winning innovations, Sessions will continue to honor its pedigree of excellence and edge by creating products that push the boundaries of functionality, performance and invention. “From fabrics to fits, Sessions MFG aspires to do what it has always done: be the snowboarder’s outfitter,” says Myers.
