SamuelThe1st is an up and coming artist from Portland, OR. His passion for music began at the early age of seven, stealing his older brother’s CDs and drawing inspiration from artists such as Notorious B.I.G, Rakim, KRS One, and more. At the age of 16, Samuel became a student of the Portland rap scene, attending any show possible, looking up to local artists including Cool Nutz, TxE, Luck-One, Double 00, and more. Currently Samuel is in the final stages of graduating with a degree in Journalism at the University of Oregon. Balancing a full school schedule and a strong passion to create, Samuel has begun to make a name for himself opening for artists such as Tory Lanez, Zion I, and Tope as well as being in regular rotation on Jamn 107.5FM’s Northwest Breakout Show.
