The Boy Detective

On Side B, The Boy Detective delivers ‘For The Record, I’m Not A Cannibal Anymore’ (out October 4th, 2024). This anthem of resilience features ska legends J. Navarro (Suicide Machines, Break Anchor) on vocals and Eric Abbey (J. Navarro And The Traitors) on keys. The track is about reclaiming what you love, even after painful memories threaten to taint it whether it’s music, a movie, or a tattoo.

About The Boy Detective:
The Boy Detective began as a fun ska-punk recording project between friends Nic Good and Benny Capaul, singing about their kids and wives. Over time, they evolved into a fully-fledged band, debuting live in 2022 and recording their magnum opus ‘Art Theft’ in 2024. With an ever-growing lineup, including saxophonists and trombonists, they deliver humor-laced, high-energy performances that have earned them a place in the ska-punk scene. After signing with Punkerton Records in 2024, the band is poised for even bigger things.

Half Dizzy

Half Dizzy contributes two thrilling tracks on Side A. ‘The Faceless’ – A spooky ska-punk anthem featuring the legendary Vic Ruggiero of The Slackers and Jess Debellis of Skapossitory on organ. Remix by Destryur – This remix blends Half Dizzy’s energetic punk and ska rhythms with Destryur‘s signature dark, cinematic EDM horror vibes. Dan Marchelewski, lead singer and songwriter of Half Dizzy, shares insight on ‘The Faceless’: “The song began as a simple spooky ska idea back in 2022. It evolved into a gripping thriller about a fictional nameless government agency chasing the listener. With input from everyone in the band, we crafted some of our best work yet, especially with Jess Debellis’s incredible organ contribution. The addition of Vic Ruggiero’s vocals, who also inspired the organ part with his song ‘Policeman’ was a true honor. To cap it off, we teamed up with Destryur for a haunting remix that captures the gritty horror energy perfectly.”

About Half Dizzy:
Half Dizzy is a high-energy 5-piece ska-punk band from New York, known for their infectious sound that blends punk vigor with ska rhythms. Signed to Punkerton Records in 2022, their EP ‘Courtesy Flush’ garnered widespread attention for its anthemic, high-energy tracks. From club gigs to festival stages, Half Dizzy is a force on the East Coast music scene, delivering an electrifying performance wherever they go.
