PATTA KETI KOTI T-SHIRT
Celebrate Freedom and Remember History with the Keti Koti Graphic T-Shirt.
In commemoration of the 151th anniversary of the emancipation of enslaved people in Suriname 1873, Patta is launching the Keti Koti Graphic T-Shirt. Keti Koti, meaning “the breaking of chains” in Sranan Tongo, holds immense importance for humanity as a whole. It is a day to reflect upon our history, honor the resilience of those who suffered under the shackles of slavery, and pay tribute to their unwavering spirit.
The Patta Keti Koti 2024 T-Shirt comes in 220gsm 100% Cotton. The back is adorned with silk screen printed lyrics from the song “war” by Bob Marley. In this specific text Marley quotes a famous speech by emperor Haile Selassie held in 1963 at the United Nations. The front sees a screen printed Keti Koti graphic on the centre chest.
To highlight the importance of this occasion, the Amsterdam Patta store will be closed on July 1st. This gesture underscores the significance of Keti Koti not only for individuals but also for the company. In dedication to celebrating freedom, Patta is organizing the Patta Cycling 151 Challenge on July 1st. For more information, follow the @pattacyclingteam.
