Omnigone (ex-Link 80) announce new album + single

Omnigone (ex-Link 80) announce new album + single
Salad Days

Omnigone is feral on ‘Quicksand’. There’s something in the water in the East Bay because it continuously produces some of the best bands in the punk scene.

Omnigone falls under that umbrella and their brand of ska-punk and hardcore makes them one of the most exciting bands to follow. Last year, Omnigone released an album titled ‘Against The Rest’, a nod to some of the members’ previous band, Link 80, that pushed more hardcore elements into ska and featured guest appearances from members of Rx Bandits, Suicide Machines, Link 80. It’s an album that leaves you wondering what comes next and, fortunately, you won’t have to wait long to find out. Omnigone will be releasing a new album titled ‘Feral’ on July 26th and the lead single ‘Quicksand’ is out now. In two minutes, band wastes no time ripping through a blistering track driven by a gnarled bass that’s punctuated by upstrokes. “The lyrics of ‘Quicksand’ are about the hopelessness of war, the folly of nationalism and despair at the loss of human life.” – Adam Davis. Omnigone will be teaming up once again with indie-label, Bad Time Records, for the release of ‘Feral’.

Omnigone is a straightedge ska punk hardcore band from the East Bay, formed in 2019 by Adam Davis & Barry Krippene of Link 80. One of the original bands on the Bad Time Records roster, they’ve released two full length albums ‘No Faith’ and ‘Against The Rest’, and are now back with their 3rd full installment ‘Feral’.
