Metalcore trio fallfiftyfeet deliver an all out frenzy on new single ‘Purgatory Blues’
Take you “south of heaven, but north of hell” on new single have unleashed an all out frenzy with buzzing riffs, crushing hardcore vocals, and an instrumental technicality to be revered.
The band experiments with industrial leaning rhythms and alternative rock influenced clean vocals that make a for a progressive track. Forming a friendship over Tumblr as teens in the 2010s, Dave Wallace (vocals) and James Becca (vocals, guitars) eventually met in real life and would go on to form fallfiftyfeet in 2020, debuting with their album ‘Twisted World Perspective’ in 2021. In 2022 the band released the three song EP, ‘Lonely If You Go’ and later followed up by a 2024 split with Wounded Touch. fallyfiftyfeet’s do-it-yourself ethic has found them playing shows across lesser known cities in the US, while also sharing stages with the likes of Underoath and Seeyouspacecowboy. 2025 will be fallfiftyfeet’s biggest year yet with more music and touring on the way. The songs follows January single ‘Running From The Sky’ giving an indication to the full sound fallfiftyfeet has budding this year. On song lead vocalist Dave Wallace shares:
“I basically wrote this song from the perspective of someone trapped in a horror movie. You could take it a couple different ways though, I think it relates to my anxiety as well. The lyrics are pretty straight forward in painting a picture of someone kind of trapped in a certain situation with no way out.”
