‘The New Old School’ LP Vinyl available starting June 29. Recorded @ Buzzbomb Studios with Paul Miner (New Found Glory, Atreyu, Thrice, Death By Stereo).

Southern California’s Heartwells have released the new full-length album ‘The New Old School’ digitally, with the vinyl release available on June 29. Formed in Long Beach’s legendary Gilmore Music, Heartwells are a 4 piece melodic punk band hailing from Long Beach, California. Fueled by a couple of beers, Liquid Deaths, THC Hi-Boys, & some extremely mediocre rounds of golf during a world pandemic. Band consist of members: Justin “JT” Tauch (Vox/Guitar), Dave “Moki” Marino (Bass/Vox), Chris “Guinness” Stout (Drums/Vox), Sam “Skwid” Peterson (Guitar/Vox). Bringing in influences from every decade of punk, a little metal and a hair of ska, Heartwells sound is new yet familiar. Heartwells are consistently hitting the pavement playing shows and touring whenever possible. They might be the new guys on the block but they are prepared to take over the world one crusty bar at a time while helping usher in a new wave of punk rock. Frontman JT says, “‘Coasted’ was one of the songs I brought to the band as a demo that I never thought we would turn into an actual song. We decided to take the verses in another direction and thought the element of surprise from the thrash intro would be a nice touch. The song is about the dream of moving to California and the reality of actually living here with expectations. The funny thing is that we never knew how to finish this song until I went home and workshopped the outro. I think it became one of the best songs on the record and captured the vibe of Long Beach, like old school Sublime summer vibes. Guinness wanted to shoot it in a friends backyard and just have a party so we did. Jeff Anton filmed it. That dude is amazing.”
