The Bay Area band’s debut full-length is available from Revelation Records.

Bay Area six-piece Primal Rite’s ripper of a debut full-length, ‘Dirge Of Escapism’. Propelled by vocalist Lucy Xavier’s fiery skirmishes on personal politics, mental health, and identity, Primal Rite’s thrashing dirges are galvanized by a noble purpose. No punk bravado, no machismo—just wailing guitars, nods to both Japanese + Cleveland hardcore styles, and controlled chaos that will be stirring long after the record’s 30-minute runtime. ‘Dirge Of Escapism’ is one of the most crushing debuts of the coming year. Primal Rite is the shot in the arm the hardcore and metal scenes need. Formed from the ashes of many under-rated San Francisco bands like Scalped, Yadokai and Face The Rail and members staying active in current bands Profile and Condition and with a 7inch already on Revelation Records, Grave Mistake Records (Red Death, Night Birds, Coke Bust) and Warthog Speak Records (Gag, Fit For Abuse, Fatigue) plus a cassette on Pop Wig Records (Trapped Under Ice, Firewalker, Turnstile), Primal Rite has been working hard making their name known coast to coast. ‘Dirge Of Escapism’ is available now from Revelation Records.
