Jay Adams, who was reportedly vacationing with his wife in Mexico, died of an apparent heart attack on Thursday, Aug. 14, TMZ reports. The legendary skater and original Z-Boys member was 53-years-old. Jay was reportedly enjoying an extended stay in Mexico — a “long surfing holiday” — when he unexpectedly died. Jay, a former drug addict, had allegedly been sober for months and had no history of heart problems, TMZ reports. He was loved by many, including a number of celebrities who have been celebrating Jay’s life on Twitter, so this news is definitely hard to swallow. Fellow skater Stacy Peralta, a founding member of the Z-Boys, confirmed the news of Jay’s death.
