Debut album ‘Locked In Time’ out 7/21 on Triple B Records.

Hardcore-punk band Restraining Order have shared their new single ‘Another Better Day’. The song has an uplifting message delivered by Patrick Cozens in-your-face vocal delivery, and packs some seriously bouncy guitar work. The slow-mo style video for the track was shot and directed by Ben Clinton and can be viewed here now. Speaking on the track, vocalist Cozens states:

“We can move on from the past, but the present still takes its own toll. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel but you’re just not there yet. And it’s so close. Life always has its way of trying to bring you down, but we all made it this far. I believe things will get better over time. Just keep looking towards that better day.”

‘Another Better Day’ is the second single, following ‘Misled’ from Restraining Order’s upcoming sophomore album ‘Locked In Time’ set for release July 21st on Triple B Records. Following 2019’s ‘This World Is Too Much’, the band are taking the energy and style that made their debut album an instant hardcore classic and bringing in a present-day approach while looking towards the future. The writing and recording process for ‘Locked In Time’ was expansive, beginning in fall 2019 and completed in late 2022. With drummer Will Hirst at the helm of recording and production, it allowed the band to focus on the nuances and build upon a diverse sonic palette. At the surface, ‘Locked in Time’ is very much a hardcore record, but it also dabbles with garage, psychedelia and other classic rock influences. Melody and hooks lay alongside the speed and chaos. Ambitious song structures are highlighted by seamless transitions. It’s a record meant just as much to connect with as it is for dancing in the pit, which makes sense for a band on tour nearly nonstop. And Restraining Order have a packed summer ahead.
