Hardcore band Bloodguilt share pummeling second single ‘Solid Ground’
‘Bloodguilt’ EP out April 4th on New Age Records. Members of Taken, Stavesacre, Focused, Project 86, Starflyer 59.
Based out of California, Bloodguilt is making crushing music for oldheads and newcomers alike. With over thirty years in hardcore and alternative rock, members have spent time playing in bands such as Taken, Stavesacre, Focused, Project 86, Starflyer 59. Making their debut in January with single ‘Straight Forward’ the band shares their next track ‘Solid Ground’. Both songs will feature on the EP out April 4th through New Age Records. Self-recorded and then mixed by Beau Burchell (Saosin), the EP is five direct, rapid and pissed off tracks. Song hits like a runaway freight train packed to the brim with heavy riffs. A cacophony of buzzsaw guitars and menacing vocals, the song propels forward at maddening pace without flying off the rails. Moshers will revel in the cleverly placed breakdowns, while headbangers will find 2:23 of “break your neck” worthy sonic delight. The song encapsulates a perfect mix of hardcore, trash and metal, turning each genre on its head to create something singular and new. The band add on the single:
“As we age and grow in life, there’s a comfort in admitting we have no idea what we are doing and are only slightly more confident than we were the day before. A lot of it is instinct and experience.”
Bloodguilt will play their first show in Los Angeles, CA on March 8th at The Echo supporting The Barbarians Of California. Band is Ray Harkins – Vocals, Dirk Lemmenes – Bass, Steve Dail – Guitar, Alex Albert – Drums and Jeff Bellew – Guitar.
