Freestyle skiing down the Stelvio pass | ‘Road Gaps’ w/ Bene Mayr & Markus Eder
These two skiers went down the Stelvio Pass! How many road gaps can you ski jump in one run?
Bene Mayr takes Markus Eder to the challenge that kept him sleepless ever since he saw the first photos of Stelvio Pass/Stilfser Joch Pass. (Shot with GoPro & drone).
‘Road Gaps’ introduces the freestyle skiing of Bene Mayr and Markus Eder, who join the great line of ski pros such as Candide Thovex, Jon Olsson, Jesper Tjäder, and Aksel Lund Svindal. For the first time ever they are taking on several road gaps in the Stilfser Joch National Park and turning the streets into one big playground. They jumped 12 road gaps over the street conquering 20 features – from small jumps and rail slides on snow cats to big jumps and massive gaps with a few grass landings. A terrain so steep and narrow that asks for freeskier pro skills who can descend an altitude of 555 meters! The stunning clips shot in only five days at the end of the season in May 2018 wouldn’t have been possible without the exceptional freeride and jib skills of German Bene Mayr and South Tyrol local Markus Eder.
