Curren Caples joins Nixon
Curren Caples: Welcome to the Team!
Nixon is pleased to announce the addition of Curren Caples onto the brand’s Global Skate Team. A great transitional skater, Curren earned his post on Nixon’s roster with a unanimous vote from the current team that includes Tony Hawk, Paul Rodriguez, Torey Pudwill, Andrew Reynolds, Danny Way and Rick McCrank. “Curren brings a refreshing style to going big and he makes the hardest tricks look easy,” said Tony Hawk. “I’m honored to be on the same team as him.” Curren’s devotion to skateboarding began when he was very young with him earning a spot onto the legendary Flip Skateboards team at the age of 13 and then turning pro two years ago. An impressive transitional skater, Curren’s style is heavily influenced by his formative years growing up in the coastal community of Ventura, CA and his time spent surfing. “I first saw Curren at the Phoenix Am years ago as a tiny little shredder and was always so impressed with how hard he ripped,” said Nixon Marketing Manager, Mike Murciano. “It’s rad to have watched his metamorphosis from super-grom to stylish full-fledged pro ripper. Curren is, in a sense, skateboarding’s all terrain vehicle and Nixon is stoked to have him officially on the team.” Welcome to the team Curren!
