Chubby And The Gang break into punk blitz on ‘There’s A Devil In The Jukebox’
Salad Days

On October 4th, Chubby and the Gang will release its new album ‘And Then There Was…’ through Flatspot Records.

The record is 16 songs written and performed by Charlie Manning, produced by Jonah Falco, and recorded and mixed by James Atckinson. Chubby releases third single ‘There’s A Devil In The Jukebox’. The song starts with twangy guitar before moving into absolute punk rock blitz. There’s a definitive Oi! influence Manning’s delivery, channeling bands like The New York Hounds, as he calls out “There’s a devil in the jukebox baby, will you listen to what he says?”. On the track, Manning shares:

“This song is about getting into subculture and finding yourself down some alley in London trying to listen to punk, and not get stabbed.”
