California hardcore band Torena share new single ‘False Compassion’ on DAZE
Following 2023’s ‘Evil Eyez’ EP and 2021’s ‘Cerebellum Prison’ LP, Torena continue to build themselves as a need to know act in the genre.
On ‘False Compassion’ Torena pack furious vocals, intense drumming, and a nasty breakdown in a minute and thirty-six seconds. The song was recorded and mixed by Taylor Young at Studio 606 and The Pit and mastered by Nick Townsend at Infrasonic Sound. On the single, the band shares:
“The single ‘False Compassion’ is about the people who claim to be there for you and have your back in tough times, when in reality they don’t follow through with that; they just have you around for things that you provide to the relationship for personal gain. It’s exciting to be releasing new music, we’ve been riding out the EP over a year and I’m glad to be able to show off what we’ve written. I believe it’s a great first look at what we’ve been working on since ‘Evil Eyez’; a more raw sound.”
Torena will perform at Sound and Fury Festival in Los Angeles this Sunday and will also appear at Flyover Fest in Tulsa, OK in November.
Torena is Julien Urias – Guitar/Vocals, David Stalsworth – Drums, Mika Ryan – Bass, Dante Denoms – Guitar.
Upcoming Shows:
July 14th – Los Angeles, CA @ Sound & Fury
November 17th – Tulsa, OK @ Flyover Fest
