The upcoming tradeshow this summer, Bright XXIII, open between June 28-30, is once again going to take place at Berlin’s Arena…

…including an amazing outdoor area and a massive floating swimming pool right on the river Spree. Apart from our carefully selected portfolio of brands such as Vans, Converse, Levis, Volcom, Electric, DC, Makia, Hype, Obey, The Hundreds, Huf, Etnies, Altamont, Diamond Supply Co., Nikita, and tons more, there will be lots of interesting newcomers on display plus a variety of side events to explore. A couple things to look forward to: Berlin-based Solebox founder Hikmet Sugoer will host a special Sneaker Collectors’ Market, while Drago Publishing from Rome curates an exhibition that features international photography heavy-weights such as Boogie, Estevan Oriol, and Letizia Battaglia, to name but a few. From current skate hotspot Paris we have Thomas Busuttil in town, the mastermind behind De Paris Yearbook, Of London, and Aus Berlin: he’s going to launch the latest Yearbook and there’s going to be a panel discussion about the influence of Streetwear and Skateboarding on current fashion trends. As for nighttime events, this summer edition boasts various parties and skate events all over Berlin: starting out with the Bright Opening Party – a DC Skate Session & BBQ –, The Hundreds are going to bring their SPITSET party to town, and Volcom is going to create a skate spot that’s inspired by Checkpoint Charlie for a unique event including live music. Also have another SEEK & Bright Extravaganza coming up, and finally there’s going to be the official Closing Party hosted by Obey.
