DAZE tour starts with Torture, Sanction, Final Resting Place and Azshara.

Emerging from the greater Connecticut metal and hardcore scene, Balmora arrived in 2023 with first EP, ‘With Thorns Of Glass And Petals Of Grief’, followed by a 2024 split with Since My Beloved – ‘Six Pacts Etched In Blood’. After a few line-up changes, Balmora has found its perfect iteration as a long term unit and now present the three song ‘Prologue’ EP out through DAZE and Ephyra Records. Serving as a look toward a full-length album set for later this year, Balmora share their most devastating and true to form tracks yet. More technical playing, elevated arrangements, increasingly complex song structures, and even simple changing of key and mode score the EP produced by the band’s drummer Chaz. ‘Blighted To Pine’ opens the EP with ricocheting blast beats and a scathing fury from vocalist Senti. Sinister guitar riffs carry the melodeath leaning ‘The Day I Died, I Heard No Singing’, built up by a whirlwind of mosh parts. While unique sonic rhythms preside over the EP, Balmora’s desolate lyrics like “I spilled all my guts, but the fire in your eyes couldn’t cauterize my bleeding heart” deserve just as much recognition. Closing out the EP is ‘Bloodlord’ first featured on ‘From Within Records’ 2024 One Scene Unity’ compilation. A frenetic live show staple, the new iteration of ‘Bloodlord’ ensures the song is brought along to the new era of the band. On ‘Prologue’’s sound the band share:

“There is something for everyone in the new Balmora material but at the end of the day, if you ever wanted to hear what The Black Dahlia Murder sounded like if they had Irate mosh parts, this will be for you.”
