‘MIRADOR’ A JOURNEY THROUGH DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES
The volcanic islands of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria set a dramatic backdrop for a new perspective of skate edit, the first of its kind filmed on FPV.
Blending the skills of a talented mix of international skaters and futuristic drone filming, ‘MIRADOR’ takes us on a journey around the island with a fresh context. Concept creator, Marco Savino, wanted to capture the striking scenery of the island, from sand dunes to mountains through the eyes of skateboarders, sharing a different angle to your classic skate edit. The line-up of skaters featured Brazilian Gabriel Fortunado, Slovakian Marek Zaprazny and South African skater Dlamini Dlamini and the trio invited local skater Carlos Cardenosa to join them to bomb hills, discover spots and explore the dramatic terrain.
“The best part of this project was to bring something new to skateboarding. This is the first skateboard video with FPV. An experiment that I’ve been dreaming of trying and to have the opportunity to make this with the Monster crew in the scenery of Gran Canarias was incredible,”- Marco is making his dreams a reality. Take a journey through different perspectives with ‘MIRADOR’.
