The last episode of TRY TO XV for this year, and Xavier De Le Rue meets up with professional surfer Courtney Conlogue, fresh from her win at the Roxy Pro in France…

…to learn how to get “barrelled” much to the mirth of Courtney. Xavier & Courtney headed to Wavegarden’s secret demo center in the Basque Country, where great waves of various shapes and sizes can be pumped out on demand… from friendly slow moving whitewater through to barrels capable of breaking surfboards!

After getting warmed up on few smaller waves, the settings were dialled up to the barrel. Courtney passed on her years of experience, from “punching the wave” to getting that back knee down on the board (testing Xavier‘s flexibility) until Xavier was “barrelling like a pro”, nearly!
