It’s time to mix it up with the top under 18-year-old snowboarders in the world. With the help of Travis Rice, Quiksilver is going on a digital mission to find the best Young Guns on the mountain. The winner earns an all-expenses-paid trip to Jackson Hole to go riding with T. Rice himself. So strap in, go big and get your best clips ready. The hunt is on!

ROUND 1: SLAM THE GRAM

Instagram Challenge: DEC 15TH 2016 – JAN 23RD 2017

That rectangular chunk of vibrating metal in your pocket? It could be your ticket to Jackson Hole. Post your best clips on Instagram, tagging @quiksilver and hashtagging #YGSNOW. There are no guidelines. No rules. Just you, your snowboard, some frozen water and a world of opportunity.

Enter as many times as you’d like and our official #YGSNOW judge, Mr Travis Rice, will choose his faves, sending The top 10 Young Guns onto Round 2. So fire up your film squad, get out there and bank some clips. Then cross your frost-bitten fingers and hope you get chosen…just make sure you push “post” first. Oh, and a quick heads up: If you’re not under the age of 18 on March 10th 2017, then sorry old man, you’re out. On the flip side, you need to be over the age of 13 before dec 15th 2016 to qualify.

INSTAGRAM CHALLENGE TOP 10 – JAN 30TH 2017

Grab a pen. Grab a calendar. Then throw them both out and commit this date to memory instead: Jan 30. That’s when our official #YGSNOW judge Travis Rice will make the call and Young Guns Top 10 will be published on the Gram. Think the job is done? No chance. Instagram was just the beginning and now it’s time to step it up.

ROUND 2: BRING THE HYPE

VIDEO CHALLENGE CLIPS PRODUCTION: FEB 1ST 2017 – MARCH 1ST 2017

Survived Round 1? Nice work. Now it’s time to step up. Round 2 is a DIY chance to impress. And this time, it’s all about bringing the hype. You’ll have 2 weeks to put together a 1-1:30-minute clip of your best snowboarding with the music turned up to 11. We’ll supply the songs and graphics, but it’s on you to shoot the footage and cut the edit. All clips will live on Quiksilver’s Young Guns Snow website for public voting from March 1st to March 7th, 2017. See you there.

VIDEO CHALLENGE VOTING PERIOD: MARCH 2ND 2017 – MARCH 7TH 2017

Remember, more hype means more votes! Drag your crew in from Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat… maybe even pay a guy to dance around in a gorilla suit to on the busiest corner of your hometown. After all, every vote counts and one click could be the difference between the dreaded “almost won” and a ticket to Jackson Hole.
