Introducing the Jackson Mural by Jamie Lynn
In honor of the one year anniversary of Jamie Lynn’s Jackson Mural at the Asymbol gallery, Asymbol is proud to release this new print.
The Jackson Mural represents an important milestone in the history of Asymbol. It was as if that wall was made for Jamie to paint it. While the Jackson Mural is painted in Jamie’s unmistakable style, he sought input from two of his closest confidantes, Bryan Iguchi and Travis Rice. Together, they envisioned a mural that paid homage to the natural elements that are so much a part of Jackson Hole: wind, sun, snow and water.
“I am leaving nothing for the grave. I am going to spend every part of myself before I get there.” – Jamie Lynn
When Jamie Lynn calls to say it’s time to come out to Jackson Hole and paint a mural inside the new Asymbol Gallery, the answer is yes. Or more specifically, “f_ck yeah it is Jamie.” And so it was… over the course of 5 days in October 2014, Jamie painted this mural, with creative input from compatriots Travis Rice, Bryan Iguchi and the Asymbol team. Each sunrise brought new elements, wrought with cans of paint and inspiration, laid down by Jamie the night before. “I don’t really think about what needs to happen or why, it’s just a matter of living a completely full and fun life. Not knowing makes it interesting, it keeps me moving forward.” – Jamie Lynn
