Weatherbox signs to Triple Crown Records
Salad Days

Los Angeles, CA – Nearly four years since the non-release of their mercurial ‘The Cosmic Drama’ LP, Weatherbox has a new label!

Having inked with Favorite Gentlemen/Triple Crown Records [The Dear Hunter, Caspian, O’Brother]. “I saw the name and was hesitant to give it a chance,” states Triple Crown owner Fred Feldman, “but when I listened to the demos for the new record I was blown away. This record will surprise a lot of people.” Triple Crown will be partnering with Atlanta-based, Favorite Gentleman to release the new full length in early 2014. To mark the occasion, Weatherbox will join Philadelphia’s Restorations and embark on a full U.S. co-headlining tour this Fall. The dates kick off on October 15th in Seattle and continue through mid-November, including both bands’ appearance at FEST 12 in Gainesville, FL. “I’m blown away that Triple Crown digs what we do.” states Weatherbox frontman/singer/songwriter Brian Warren, “We’ve stuck to our proverbial guns through the years and having their [Triple Crown] support is extremely validating.”

ABOUT WEATHERBOX
Flipping through the pages of Weatherbox, A History, one encounters some sordid tales: strained friendships, hairs grayed, vans stolen and flipped, a good old-fashioned “cowboy-stomping” and of course, drug-induced psychosis. However, since the release of their seminal ‘American Art’ in 2007, Weatherbox ignored every warning sign the cosmos hurled in their direction and released batch after batch of unique and personal songs via two LP’s, one EP, two singles and too many compilation tracks to count. They have toured tens of thousands of U.S. highway miles with their friends in Say Anything, Cartel, The Front Bottoms and Bad Books. Now freshly signed to Favorite Gentlemen/Triple Crown Records, Weatherbox’s future figures to continue being quite the page-turner…
