Pariso sophomore album ‘Consanguinity’

Pariso sophomore album ‘Consanguinity’

Pariso – ‘Consanguinity’ New Album, out 1st July 2013 on Tangled Talk Records

Returning a little over a year after debut album ‘Nothing Beyond Everything After’, Pariso have somehow warped the space-time continuum and produced ‘Consanguinity’ – a record that shows an evolution far greater than the time frame should allow. Charting an ever fluctuating journey that has seen two member changes since NBEA (including departing long-time drummer Alastair Fyffe, who played on this record), as well as a tour of Cuba, Christmas cover songs and a flexidisc vinyl postcard release, this is a band who constantly surprise and confound expectation. Released on July 1 as a free download, ‘Consanguinity’ comes with no prior announcement, no build up, no pre-order, no lead song or video and essentially no bullshit hype. Meaning ‘blood relation’, Consanguinity is a record loosely based upon the theme of family and relations and the ebb and flow that entails. This is reflected in the bands newfound sense of dynamics – whilst never losing the intensity or heaviness they are known for, ‘Consanguinity’ displays highs of atmosphere, melody and thought amidst evermore-breakneck ferocity and aggression. Expertly produced by Lewis Johns (Gnarwolves, Goodtime Boys, Hexis) at The Ranch, and rife with the flair and invention of new-ish guitarist Alex Heffernan, ‘Consanguinity’ should leave no doubts in the mind of any discerning, st on 12” vinyl (with an exclusive vinyl-only bonus track) and
forward-thinking heavy music fan. Available now as a free download, limited edition vinyl and cassette from: www.pariso.co.uk
