New Morality Zine announce the signing of DIME. Formed in 2020 but not fully realized until 2023, DIME released their self-titled, debut EP in February 2024…

…with the support of the artistic collective and label Feral Child. The band takes inspiration from alternative and hardcore sounds of the past two decades, citing bands like Have Heart, Title Fight, Basement and many more. On their self-titled EP, ‘DIME’ aimed to portray their experience of struggle through early adulthood with powerful soundscapes and intense introspective lyricism. The band’s dynamic sound and reflective lyrics immediately grabbed audiences attention, with single ‘Flourish’ currently at nearly 50k plays on Spotify alone. To celebrate the signing, New Morality Zine is teaming up with Feral Child to release ‘DIME’ on vinyl, limited to 300 copies and three colorways.

On working with DIME, New Morality Zine owner Nick Acosta shares:

“The moment I saw a clip of this band playing, I knew I had to work with them. Many bands sound great on recordings and win you over, but their live personality and ability to connect often don’t match up. Since I saw a live clip first, I knew the music had to be just as good, and I wasn’t wrong. I instantly fell in love with the EP for its rough-around-the-edges vocals and the immersive guitar work. The guitar breaks give the listener a moment to reflect on the music before diving back in. I kept playing the EP, and the lyrics continued to resonate with me, hitting vulnerable places I needed at that moment. This solidified my desire to reach out to the band. I’m beyond happy I did because it also led to the opportunity to split-release the EP with Feral Child, whose ethos closely aligns with NMZ‘s.”

DIME is currently supporting Soul Blind and ASkySoBlack on tour in Florida and Georgia, dates below. The band have more shows and music on the way, so stay tuned.
