Angel Du$t share new single/video ‘Racecar’

Angel Du$t recently announced their highly anticipated new album, ‘Brand New Soul’, and today the most daring band in punk/hardcore have shared another audacious single, ‘Racecar’.

Due out September 8th via Pop Wig Records, ‘Brand New Soul’ combines rock & roll swagger, hardcore ferocity, and adventurous production flourishes to prove once again that there’s no other band quite like Angel Du$t. Recorded by Paul Mercer, mixed by Rob Schnapf and Steve Wright, and produced by frontman, Justice Tripp, the album feels the most potent encapsulation the one-of-a-kind musician’s vision to date, managing to tap into elements from every era of Angel Du$t‘s catalog. ‘Racecar’ follows lead single ‘Space Jam’ and offers another taste of the band’s sonic ambition. The new track features guest vocals from Loosey singer Fizzy, and collides lushly arranged jangle pop with a punk spirit and delivery, making for the kind of instantly catchy yet genuinely unique sound that only Angel Du$t can pull off. ‘Brand New Soul’ marks a new chapter for Angel Du$t, one that channels Tripp’s vision more directly than ever before. For nearly two decades, the musician has consistently been ahead of the curve: first with Trapped Under Ice, where he led the way for a new wave of heavy hardcore, and then as the mastermind behind Angel Du$t, where he blazed the trail for the current generation of hardcore musicians to branch out into unabashedly catchy territory. Tripp’s work is marked by an ever-evolving creativity that’s made him highly influential, and ‘Brand New Soul’ proves exactly why. The record is a fearless and open-hearted tribute to all things rock, offering listeners a chance to be right there with Angel Du$t on the cutting edge. Tripp has always had an eye on the future, but Angel Du$t’s time is now. Angel Du$t have also announced a massive run of worldwide tour dates that will be keeping them very busy for the rest of 2023. First the band will be hitting the UK, followed by Australia, Southeast Asia, and Japan, and then rounding out the year with a lengthy run of North American shows. The dates include support from the likes of Candy, Bib, Restraining Order, Mary Jane Dunphe, Steve Marino, and many more. See full itinerary below.
